DIY Cloth-Covering Mouse
Created by Sunny Sun
Winter is coming. The weather is becoming colder. My hands are freezing when I work on the computer. I always put my left hand in my pocket, and only use my right hand to move the mouse. It is unfair to my right hand, I believe. Any method to solve this problem? That's how this tortoise mouse be created, and how this article be written.
First, materials.
1. a tortoise-like toy which has fluff
cute
the white kyte
The other material is a mouse. I highly recommend wireless mouse. You will know the reason later.
Get both together. You may find a problem here, they have a big difference on their sizes. It really became a difficulty to combine them.
"anatomize" the tortoise, and take out the stuff
Take off four legs and the tail.
compare to the size of the mouse, I cut off the extra cloth of the tortoise.
Then, I need to sew four legs and the tail back onto the tortoise. For a male, it's not a easy work indeed. I spent one and half an hour to do this.
Say the truth, I intended to give up for several times while I was sewing. Fortunately, I had this done.
The big tortoise became a little one, and suit the mouse.
Then I used glue to fasten the toy onto the mouse carefully.
All right. Done! Looks cool!
Also comfortable and warm.
Smile, take a photo.
Have to say at last.
There are few disadvantages on this tortoise mouse.
- Cannot use mouse pad again, because there are cloth under the mouse. That increases the friction.
- The wheel of the mouse was not considered because of the location and the appearance.
- Not easy to clean it when it gets dirty.
- Only for winter.
Anyway, I am proud of having this mouse. Do you like it?
Best wishes!
Thank you all.
