Had this idea long time ago, so dreamed to have a dual screen laptop.

What is a dual screen laptop?

A dual screen laptop is a new generation laptop which has 2 built-in screens. It is mainly designed for graphic designers, game players, and everyone who needs a big screen on laptop. When the laptop is not in use, you can slide in (or fold) the 2 screens. Then it is much like a normal laptop, but it may be a little bit thicker and heavier than a normal laptop. When you open the laptop, you slide out (or unfold) the 2 screens. Now, you have a double-sized laptop screen than usual. It's awesome. You can still use one screen without open another screen, (ie. the second screen is behind the primary screen), so that you can save space and power.

Last month, I was looking around in a computer store, and I found this 15" ViewSonic LCD moniter that was on sale. Only 100CAD. At that moment, I remembered this dual screen idea which I had couple years ago. I bought the monitor right away, because I just wanna to try.

When I got home, I could not wait to put them together. The screen size is perfect match with my old TOSHIBA laptop.

My blue print is:

Use the VGA port to connect the second monitor.
Use the laptop power to supply for the second monitor.(Don't know how it works in laptop.)
Combine the 2 screens together, and install them at the center of the laptop.

After half day try, I gave up. There are some big issues which I cannot solve by myself currently. Like the power supply problem. HAHA, one person is too weak. Need lots of special technical knowledge and tools.

Anyway, it is always worth to try. I wish I can make this dream becomes true some day. ^_^
