Solar Powered USB by Sunny 2006-12-03 |
Usage: Provide approximate 2W (4.5V, 400MA) in the sunny day! It is good for charging any USB devices, like iPod, cell phone etc. Since the regular computer USB port is 5V, 500MA. Materials: 2 X Solar Power Panel (4.5V 200MA) (about US$13.00 each) and 1 USB port. Following pictures show you how I made it. Very simple. You can make one by yourself, then you never worry about the battery goes off when you are in a trip. I bought the solar power panel from US. |

The panel is pretty small. It is like the size of your hand.

This USB port was taken from a USB extension wire.
|
parallel connect the 2 solar power panels in order to double the current and keep the same voltage.
